I still weigh the same cause I have been working out the way I should how funny I workout five times a week three times at the gym and twice at home just to enjoy food !!! But  I know I have to start eating healthy if I want to drop the ten more pounds I want to lose, I did discover a real good treat that you can buy at Walmart, it is only about 10 calories a  cup and is very very very very good, I had two cups  tonight, I have never had these before at least not in the diet form, I had my daughter try it out and she loved it she could not believe it was diet item.  Tomorrow I am going back to Walmart to get several of them I will give you a hint to really enjoy it you must have ice !!!! Let’s see who can figure this one out??  In my next blog I will tell you but I want you to think what it can be let’s just say last year I had the same thing but not diet and it was about  300 calories for a cup and lots of sugar it was made of. I even went once to the hot dog stand looking for it but they did not have the one I wanted that is another hint!!!!  Guess what I got also another box of  See’s  chocolate lollipop’s. The Lord has been real good to my family, I’m very grateful to God for all that he does for us. My brothers and sister and the kids are coming over for Easter after church and my mother-in-law too, I really love her she is very sweet. I do hope that everyone has a very beautiful Easter and remember How much God gave to us so that we may live, that God gave his son to die on the cross because he loved us all so much. Let us never forget the true meaning of Easter, through God all things are possible. Always remember to put God first in your life no matter what !!!!

I loves doing housework and these last two months it has been hard to do the housework the way I wanted to being that I had to go to the gym 5 times a week . Now I will go to the gym 3 times a week and workout 2 times at home I love doing the treadmill. I did my  4 miles on the treadmill today at home I also did some squats. I’m very grateful for my  trainer Rocky he did  such a good job. With him I was able to lose 17 pounds and  17 1/2 inches off my body in 2 months very happy with that. I still want to try to lose 10 to 15  pounds by the end of May I am still going to try to lose but at a slower pace I want to really keep up with the workouts at the gym . I love the routine that I do,but now I will walk 4 miles a day instead of 5 and that will take place at least 5  times a week Sundays off of course.  I will admit something now It  was hard getting to the gym 5 days a week and walking 5 miles a day. Somehow 3 days at the gym looks real good and like I said 4 miles a day sound good also. Like today I walked my 4 miles with the Dr. Phil show at home. Also I want to say a big Thank you to my teammates they were very supportive when my papa died. Thank you for your prayers. The reason why I titled my post Just a closer walk with thee, because that is my desire is to have a very close walk with God. Nothing can compare  to the love and guidance God gives us. These last two weeks leading up to this weigh -in  I did awful one week in my eating habits to tell you the truth I did not diet for a week and only went to the gym twice in seven days due to my papa’s death. So guess what I gained one pound !!! But I did do good on my inches. On the last weigh in  Jason from Visalia in-shape read my inches wrong I had lost almost 6 inches and he put me for only 2 1/2 inches,  I called him up this week and asked him would those inches  count for this time  since I did not get the credit for them like last time like I was suppose to and he said yes they will count and with the inches I lost this time around it should be 6  1/2 inches total,hopefully enough to stay in the competition. I worked very hard for all my inches to count. I found my self looking back on the week my  papa died and having the funeral that week I ate so many taco’s  and I also went to Straw hat pizza in Lindsay to buy pizza”s  for my family one night while we stayed with my papa. Then the day we went to pick out the casket we then went to Sizzler’s for lunch my sister and brother and I. then the day of the memorial we went to Chile’s afterwards. Then a few days after that we went out for Chinese food. But I  did weigh myself and the scales at the gym showed I had not gained a pound so I thought good. then on Saturday after my sister went back to Virgina I went to the gym and hit it hard working out six straight days 30 miles on the treadmill 5 miles a day then working out real hard on the gym for at least an hour also.  then I did my weigh- in and somehow from Saturday till Thursday I gained a pound, Tell me how funny is that the week  I go off the diet I maintain but then  I hit hard at the gym and I still gain ,hopefully it is true what they say muscle weighs more then fat. But if by chance I get that call on Monday morning saying I have been eliminated it’s ok at least   I have had lots of fun these last two months working out. My problem has always been the way I eat. But so far up to date I have lost 17 pounds total and about 18 inches off my body and right now I’m in a size 6 again very happy about that.  I still want to lose about at least 10 to 15 pounds. If I’m still in this competition after Monday I have decided to really try to eat healthy, how funny  I can workout very hard  but the eating healthy part gets me, my husband has supported me so much and has cooked as healthy for me as I will allow him too. Do you know what I bought about a month ago??? a Wendy’s chocolate ice cream I know you know the one I am talking about. It just sits in my freezer as a reminder of how I use eat  wendy’s  ice cream all the time. I must say I have really enjoyed being part of this competition. How funny it took a competition for me to lose weight and inches, I guess my husband was right when he said I am very competitive. Well I must go and  I am very thankful to God for watching over me and my family so much. always remember to put God first in your life no matter what !!!!!

On Monday March 16th at 6:28pm my papa died. I am very thankful to God for watching over my papa , the last few days my papa was at home God was really watching over him,papa wanted to die at home and he did in  Farmersville that was such a blessing. This past week has been so busy on me it was my first time being in charged of a funeral, so many things to do we wanted a very beautiful one for papa to give him the honor that he deserved. I can honestly say God really helped us out so much with everything. Like the one song that says  “let this trial be blessing and my father’s funeral was a blessing from God. The one song my father wanted sung at his funeral was Rock  Of Ages that was my mother’s favorite hymn.  It really touched us when my friend sung it today for my papa. We had it sung at my mama’s funeral too. I have only been to the gym twice this week on Monday morning and Tuesday Morning. I have lived on  tacos almost everyday this week at a place in Exeter I  have been  very busy so I would go there either before or after going to Farmersville coming home. My weight is the same but I have not dieted at all this week due to my  papa’s death, but staring tomorrow I will diet and hopefully lose a few pounds before the next weigh in. To everyone out there who have kept my family in your prayers thank you very much God is so good to all of us. My Church family was very kind they provided the food for the gathering after the funeral today. Well sorry this is short just so tired right now but like I say  always put God first in your life no  matter what !!!!

But to tell you the truth today was a very sad day for me because my sister called me yesterday to tell me that our papa got put back in the hospital and the doctor wanted to talk with all us kids today which I stayed home from work to go to Visalia to talk with the doctor, he let us know that papa was dying and that tomorrow we take papa home to die, I do not think my papa will live but a couple of more days . My sister from Virgina comes down on Saturday to say her good byes to my papa. My papa  one desire is to die at home in Farmersville. I have decided to take some time off  from work  until march 22nd ,then  I go back to work.  I know  I need to be here for my brothers and sisters  I have always been the one in charge, they have always saw me more like a mama figure to them then a sister because our mother was ill all her life. I’m very thankful to God for watching over my papa and my family, for you see my papa is not in pain they really do not know why he is bleeding so much , today they put another 3 pints of blood in him, but the doctor said he does not know why my  papa is this way except for that he is very anemic. I know it is just his time to go. Right now I  was looking for pictures of my papa for the funeral I know I need to get things together for the family. I love my papa so much and yet I  know this is the best thing for him. i really believe my father has made his heart right with God for you see my other sister who  has been taking care on my  papa told me she has been talking and praying with papa. How funny I can talk to anybody about God but my papa  has always been stubborn about allowing me to talk to him about God, my sister told me that papa really has been listening  to her lately and today he was praying some and crying also. Like I said earlier we must always thank God for the trials  that he gives , us not just the blessings. please take  care and do keep my family in your prayers, and always remember to put God first in your life no matter what

If you had told me for  two weeks straight  I would work out so hard I would not believe you but somehow God is helping me in that area, and yet when it comes to food I  have such a challenge.  Like today at work my co-worker looked at me and said what are you thinking about ? and my reply was food !!!  It seems like I think about food  a lot, and even today at work another coworker bought a tall chocolate shake to work, all I could do was smell it, and yes it smell  good. My life has been very busy these last couple of weeks, my father is getting very weak again and I know he should be in the hospital but he does not want to go, everyday I wait inside my head for that phone call saying papa died. we know death is apart of life but it still hurts knowing that someone you love dearly is going to leave soon.  I have no idea how much longer  God will permit my papa to stay alive but my prayer is that somehow papa makes his heart right with  God . I always tell my kids make sure your heart is right with God cause someday you will die then it will be to late unless you are serving  God when you are alive do not think you will serve him when you are dead.  To many times we worry about the different things in life that God allows us to go through, we do not realize it is God’s plan in our lives . So many times we want to take the blessing’s God has for us and yet we do not want to take the trials that God also has for us in life.  I thank  God daily for the trials that he gives me in my life so that I make look up to him and realize how much I need his strengh in my life. Well this Thursday is the next weigh in my goal is to lose 6 pounds, lets see if that happens hopefully it will but even if it doesn’t  I’m still very grateful to God  for watching over me during this time of competition, plus I have decided I still want to lose about another 20 pounds. It was so good and yes  I did eat alot, but to make up for it I walked eight miles today on the tread mill and did a very hard workout so I would not feel guilty about all that food I ate. I have been trying to eat the 1500 calories a day but since Saturday I have stared to eat more but I also have worked out more, but I told myself I have got to get strict on my eating habits,  my working out habits are good but I do love food, Today on the radio station  KJUG I  won free tickets to go to a dinner and country dancing in Visalia, that was a blessing you see this weekend  I was suppose to go to couples retreat in  Pismo Beach but because of the competion  I decided not for us to go, but I really wanted to do something special this weekend and now we are going country dancing at the convention center in Visalia,  also my sister in law and my brother will be there with us. I really love my sister in law and my brother I really enjoy their company . Well I must go now, take care and always remember to put god first in your lives  no matter what .

I do hope it is enough to continue in the competition.  How funny I never knew I was such a competitive person till I met my husband and he let me know. I always thought i just liked to win for the fun of it , then he made me realize that  I like to win just to win.  Tonight for dinner I had carna asada just cut up pieces it was very good, I thought I  did good but my husband told me I should of had a salad or vegetable with my meat I was at work at the time that I ate dinner . I am sorry if my writting is not that good right now I am very tired but I wanted to make sure to let everyone who reads my blog how much weight I have lost.  I noticed this morning on the news they were talking about what is the best way to lose weight? they did a two year study and with the different kinds of diet plans and they realized now it is calorie intake and exercise. Well I do believe that cause these last  3 1/2 weeks I have been keeping track of my calories and really working out at least 5 times a week. But at the same time I have allowed my self a few treats at very low moderation.  My husband likes to call the way I am dieting Trina Rules, I tell him i just want to make sure to keep on the diet I want to still lose 20 more pounds. Then I want to matain by working out and still cutting back on my food intake.  I do hope lots of success for everyone, and for those names that are called on Monday morning who are out of the competition I only ask that you keep up with your weight loss for you see we are all winners just knowing that we have begun this journey to lose weight and have taken a hard look at our selves in the mirror, remember the mirror does not lie, it should be our friend not our enemy. well do take care  and always remember to put  God first in our lives no matter what.

For you see I found myself thinking about that how these last couple of three weeks so many things  I have seen happen to my friends and family, Like how my own father has twice gone to the hospital and this Wednesday they will be doing a procedure on him to see if he has leukemia, then one of my very close friend has been very sick these last couple of weeks, and how another very close friend her ex-husband died today from a heart attack, they were divorced but they were very close as friends, she came to my church this morning to tell me she was so upset crying and all I could think of was to pray for her and hold her in my arms I left with her and afterwards we went to her house and we talked about the past and cried some together ,for you see I knew her  ex very well too. When I was talking to her I  told her how God already knew what was going to take place in his life today how today God already knew he was calling Cliff home to be with him, you see cliff died a saved man and I told her that was the most important part is that he died saved. To many times we do not realize how God is watching over us and how God knows our every step in life that we are to go through, sometimes we may not understand some of the steps we have to take in life but you see God wants us to trust him no matter what he has for us, I have always believed that God gives and God takes away. Let us always rejoice in no matter what God permits in our lives ,it is easy to rejoice when we are happy but when we are struggling that is when we find it so hard to rejoice yet that is the time I believe God wants us to rejoice and keep our faith in him. Today I did eat a big lunch or so it seems to me I had my two tacos beans and rice and chips for lunch at China’s of course. Today was my cheat day to eat normal. When I look back on my eatting habits I see that I really did not know how to eat normal I always ate very very big meals. I am learning how to eat more normal how funny 43 years old and learning how to eat normal. This Thursday we weigh in . I do look forward to that to see how much weight I have lost which my goal was at least to have lost ten pounds and to see how much inches I have lost. Well I must go and always remember to put God first in your life no matter what .

I can honestly say my body looks and feels different, I am very grateful to God for watching over me these last three weeks and helping me to stay on track. Today I stayed home on  Thursdays I work out with the tread mill only I did 5 miles on the tread mill.  Today at work I did make a mistake I ate 2 cookies that were given to me they gave me my favorite cookies peanut butter ones, but then for dinner I had a very small salad of just lettuce tomatoes and cucumbers and broccoli and a little bit of shredded turkey and a little bit of ranch dressing after that I felt lot better, for you see my weakness has always been sweets and bread and butter.  The other night I was coming home from work and I smelled KFCchicken on highway 65 this was about 11pm at night at about almost turning onto grand street I knew I was just hungry.  If you had told me I would not eat pizza for three weeks almost I would not have believed you, but I have not touched it at all which is very very good for me as you remember I  manage a pizza place, as a matter of fact today makes 19 years I have worked there, I really do enjoy it very much I love our customers they are so nice most of the time. Like I said before I thought I knew what it meant to go on a diet but I really have not, this competition has shown me how much I am capable of and how weak will I am for food !!!! Everyday  I ask God to help me not to be hungry.  I know  through this all God has great plans for each of us and God will use each of us as long as we allow God access to our lives.
